Introduction
Navy Log is an American drama anthology series that initially aired for one season on CBS.
It relates the greatest survival war stories in the history of the United States Navy. The series premiered in 1955, but the following year, it was moved to ABC, where it aired until 1958.
Outline
Anthology series focusing on the lives of America’s sailors.
The show featured dramatic re-enactments of true Naval events taken from the files of the US Defence Department.
The episodes generally featured little known actors although better known performers sometimes hosted.
The famed opening sequence shows 2,000 sailors spelling out the show’s title aboard the USS Hancock.
