Outline
In London, Paris, New York, and Moscow, people take to the streets celebrating victory. Denmark, Norway, and the Channel Islands are liberated. However, in the Pacific Theatre there is still heavy fighting on Okinawa and in the Philippines. It is a matter of honour for the Japanese who cannot contemplate the shame of defeat and surrender. US General Simon Buckner is determined to keep up the pressure.
