Introduction

Entrevías (original title: English ‘Wrong Side of the Tracks’) is a Spanish drama television series created by Aitor Gabilondo and David Bermejo, starring José Coronado, Nona Sobo and Luis Zahera that began airing on Telecinco on 01 February 2022.

When his teenage granddaughter falls victim to the drug dealers overtaking his neighbourhood, a fed-up war veteran takes matters into his own hands.

Outline

Set in the neighbourhood of Entrevías, Madrid, the fiction follows the mishaps of Tirso Abantos, a former military man running a hardware store, whose monotonous daily routine is shaken by the disruption of his unruly and rebellious granddaughter Irene, of Vietnamese origin. He then teams up with corrupt police officer Ezequiel to face up to the criminals in the neighbourhood.

Production

Created by Aitor Gabilondo and David Bermejo, Entrevías is a co-production by Mediaset España and Alea Media. Jordi Terradas, Patricia Trueba, Víctor Pedreira and Natxo López comprised the writing team. Production began filming on 05 February 2021. On 05 April 2021, Mediaset España announced the beginning of filming. Filming crew worked in Villaverde Alto, and the exterior of the Church of San Andrés was used as shooting location.

Mediaset España scheduled a 01 February 2022 premiere date on Telecinco.
