Inside the Tower of London (2019): S02E07

Documentary going behind the scenes at the Tower of London and exploring its 900 years of history.

The biggest ceremony in the Tower’s year is the Constable’s Dues, when the Royal Navy marches on the Tower to hand over a barrel of rum. Meanwhile, chief curator Tracy Borman investigates the Duke of Wellington, and discovers how he reinvented the place when he became Constable of the Tower. He reformed the Yeoman Warders to wipe out corruption, and strengthened the Tower as a military stronghold with the construction of a barracks named after his victory at Waterloo.
