Introduction

Atatürk is a Turkish epic biographical historical drama film directed by Mehmet Ada Öztekin and written by Necati Şahin.

It follows the life of the founding father of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. It stars Aras Bulut İynemli in the title role, alongside an ensemble supporting cast.

First shown as two films and then as a six-part TV series.

Outline

Colonel Mustafa Kemal returns from Gallipoli and is finally reunited with his mother and sister. Upon meeting Mrs Corinne, Zubeyde Hanim is alarmed by her son’s affair. Enver appoints Mustafa Kemal to command the 16th Corps. He is expected to stop the Russian advance.
