Outline
The Goa’uld can impose subconscious programming on humans.
The Tok’ra have a test to detect the programming (by detecting lies) and when it is applied to the staff of Stargate Command, Carter and O’Neill are found to be affected.
They were supposed to have been affected in the episode “Upgrades” (S04E03), however it is discovered that Carter and O’Neill are subconsciously failing the test because of their feelings for each other.
Feelings that they try to avoid, and lie about, before realising their mistake.
