Star Wars: TIE Fighter (2015)

TIE Fighter is a 2015 short Star Wars animated fan film, depicting a space battle between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance from the Imperial TIE pilots’ point of view.

A short Star Wars animation, focused on the Empire, drawn and shaded in the style of classic ’80’s anime. Empire and rebel forces engage in a frantic all-or-nothing dogfight in space, but the Empire has 3 Tie Fighter aces up its sleeve.

  • It was created by Paul Johnson (known as “OtaKing77077” on YouTube) over four years worth of weekends.
  • Johnson stated that the film is an homage to not only the anime style of the 1980’s, but also the 1994 Star Wars: TIE Fighter video game, which the film uses sound effects from and borrows the logo design of.
