Trenches – World War I (1914-1918) is a 2005 war documentary.
The start of WWI was greeted with enthusiasm by Europe as young men flocked to join the army and fight for their cause. Highlights the Battle of Mons, which was the first major action for the British forces. While the British fought well the Germans greater numbers eventually forced their retreat before it counter-attacked in concert with the French as the Battle of Marne.
