Introduction
Les Combattantes (English: Women at War) is a Franco-Belgian historical television mini-series in 8 52-minute episodes created by Camille Treiner and Cécile Lorne, and broadcast in French-speaking Switzerland on RTS Un from 02 September 2022, in Belgium on La Une from 13 September 2022 and in France on TF1 from 19 September, 2022. The series has been available on Netflix since 28 October 2022.
The series follows the fate of four women during the First World War: a nun, a feminist nurse, a prostitute and a widow who became a factory boss.
Outline
As the Germans close in on Saint- Paulin and all civilians are ordered to evacuate, the bonds of those left behind are put to the ultimate test.
