Introduction

Ross James Kemp (born 21 July 1964) is an English actor, author, and television war reporter. He rose to prominence in the role of Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Since 2004, Kemp has received international recognition as a journalist for the BAFTA Award-winning documentary series Ross Kemp on Gangs.

Outline (Series)

All five episodes from the third war documentary series following Ross Kemp in Afghanistan. Kemp returns to the war-torn country ten years after 9/11 to investigate how the situation has developed. Travelling with Whiskey Company 45 Commando Royal Marines and encountering many dangers along the way, he explores what the future holds with the plan to remove soldiers in 2014.

Outline (Episode)

The actor returns to Afghanistan to discover what has changed since the conflict began in 2001. In the first edition, Kemp joins the Whiskey Company for a night raid to capture a high-level insurgent, who is suspected of training 15-year-old boys to be suicide bombers. He also learns about counter-insurgency, a way of fighting the Taliban.
